Something's Fishy
Fishies!
I went and got a ten gallon fishtank for the kids (and myself). After having the fish in the tank for less than 2 hours, my oldest son decided that the fish needed a Birthday party. So in under 10 minutess he had managed to put in about 30 legos, a dirty washcloth, a night-shirt, and a beach towel. So in less than 24 hours of having setup the tank and getting temperature just right, I was washing and rinsing the entire contents of then new fishtank. What I learned form this is to be very happy its a fairly small fishtank. I hate to think how many hours it would take me to clean an even larger tank. Moral of this story, Black Mollies from PetSmart appear to not mind soapy water much. Plecostmus however will begin to swim upside down and require at least an hour to recover from the shock to their system. But cleaning up the tank just in the nick of time? Keeps me from having to explain why the fish need a 'watery' funeral. Thanks for reading! A. Rohde
