Flagstone Day 4
Oh Man!!
So I took this picture Thursday night right after I finished washing everything down. I have decided that 20:30 MST is a bit dark for doing a photo, at least with my crappy photo skills. I do have good news, for me at least. The section done here is 14'3" by 12'2" for about 174sqft. I got two of the huge pieces down on my own, but I couldn't manage the last one alone, so my wife helped out. The fact that I've gotten this far lets me know that the 'end' is near. I can see the light at the end of the tunnel, or the 4' wide path in the very least. I made the path 'wide' so if I ever sell my house its more handicappable friendly. That and once my concrete 'grout' is in it will be almost perfectly smooth for riding bikes or other things with tires. Its more room than the Bike lanes have in Albuquerque. I have 55' of path remaining, some of which has had zero prep work done on it. I've used 15 bags of concrete and 31 bags of peagravel in the project for support so far. I still need to make a barrier under my gate from the front to the back yard. I also have umm about 75 8"x16" pavers to pull out from the back yard and return to my father-in-law. He gave them to me 3-4 years ago, but now he has a use for them since I am pulling them back out. So close yet sooo far, A.Rohde
